BOSCO-Uganda is a non-profit organisation that promotes education and computer literacy through a network of 32 ICT & Development Centers in remote locations across Northern Uganda. BOSCO also engages in meeting Uganda’s growing needs of energy by installing and operating sustainable solar energy systems while supporting Entrepreneurial activities through BOSCO’s own Ecosystem for economic development and poverty reduction. BOSCO’s mission is to empower communities in post-conflict Uganda through dialog, education and economic development.

Our Team
At BOSCO, we understand the critical role of leadership sustainability. That’s why our ICT centers are managed by local leaders who know their community best and can most effectively design and implement solutions for development in northern Uganda.Screen Shot 2015-07-09 at 11.37.04 AM

Our Network
Since 2007, BOSCO’s computer network has expanded to include 27 different ICT centers across Uganda. Internet access and computer trainings at these centers are open to all community members, providing access to information to isolated communities and allowing participants to gain valuable skills which can lead to job creation and economic development. Our computer network is built using long-range wifi technologies, which is key to our strategy of reaching remote communities in a cost-effective manner.

CE3 Project
The Connectivity, Electricity, and Education for Entrepreneurship (CE3) project aims to inspire and assist entrepreneurs in creating and expanding small businesses. To achieve this goal, CE3 provides electricity, internet connectivity and entrepreneurship training to entrepreneurs at several BOSCO sites with assistance from the University of Notre Dame and Accenture Foundation.Screen Shot 2015-07-09 at 11.37.13 AM
