Who We Are
OUR HISTORY
Battery Operated System for Community Outreach (BOSCO) Uganda is a not-for-profit organization under the Catholic Archdiocese of Gulu. Founded in 2007, it began by setting up ICT centers in IDP camps to combat isolation after the Lord’s Resistance Army war. Using solar-powered PCs, BOSCO Uganda introduced Internet and VoIP telephony to remote areas, becoming a leading ICT NPO and the only Community Network in Uganda. Today, it has established 55 community ICT & Development Centers across Acholi, Lango, and West Nile regions, bridging the digital divide and expanding ICT access for rural communities.
